Bank Bar boasts one of Manila’s most impressive roster of liquors, from aquavit to absinthe, sake to single malt. It’s thick menu may be a welcome gift to those who take their drinks seriously, but it’s just as likely to intimidate those who are not quite as well-versed.

Here, founding partner Abba Napa shares her suggestions for what to order and when, as well as gives us a preview of the selection of cocktails they’ve crafted in celebration of global Gin and Tonic month–on offer through mid-August for those who didn’t catch it.

If you come at 5:30

Try our Negroni, or the off menu Champagne cocktail.

If you want something bolder, ask to sub Brooklyn Gin and Punt e mes for the Negroni.

If you come towards midnight

Have our Nutter Club (a lemon-pistachio gin sour served up).

Or else try an extra dry gin martini. Ask to use Rangpur Gin for an extra refreshing hit.

If you’re looking to explore G&Ts

We have a great, not-so-classic line-up of four gin & tonics whose refreshing flavors–the result of combinations like hibiscus, citrus, cucumbers, and mints–are served up by way of foams and ices.

G&Ts were some of my favorite drinks to have when I was in university, and because we have a Young Mentors Program now where university students come and intern with us, we made this an Intern Project: everything on the G&T menu at Bank Bar has been a collaboration between our Interns and our Bartenders.
